Ch5

Of course. The band. The performance. It was One Direction. They seemed quite hot in person to be honest. I looked over to Harry who seemed a bit drunk. But the rest were fine. “Yeah can we go?” I asked turning back around to Josh. “Who’s Josh?” James asked. Ugh all these voices racing in my head. “Friend” I replied. As we started walking back towards his car, I had forgotten to say goodbye to April. “Uh Josh I’ll be back in a second.” I said running off to speak to her. I ran in and the boys had finished performing, they were talking to everyone. As I said goodbye and walked back out, in the corner of my eye I saw someone walking into a wall then collapsing. Harry? “Harry?” I yelled running over to him. I’m not a doctor, but from what I see here he looks like he had been drinking. A lot. I shook him. He didn’t wake up. “Come on Kim!” Josh shouted. “I have to go home too! The parties over!” He added. I walked over to him. “Don’t worry about me. James is taking me home.” I lied. “Well, thanks for tonight then. I’ll see you at school” Josh replied pecking my lips then driving off.

I walked back towards Harry. I put my hand under his head to hold him up. “Harry. Oh my god wake up would you. It’s getting dark.” I said in a shitty tone. There was a tap nearby, so I dragged him to it then turned it on so it could wake him up. “WHAT THE FUCK?” He said jumping up. “Oh it’s you.” He said looking over to me and rolling his eyes. “Why the fuck would you do that for?” He said getting up and walking all over the place, followed by him putting his hand on his head. “Harry you’re drunk” I gulped. “Who cares. You can go now.” He answered walking to a nearby park across from the hall. Ugh. I did something nice for him and this is how he replies? I shook my head then started walking home.

“Wait.” Harry said stopping me. I turned around. I raised my eyebrows waiting for him to say something. “I can’t go home. If my mum finds out I’m like this, she would kill me.” He said sitting down on the grass. “That’s nice” I replied turning back around and walking home. “Kim.” He said in a louder tone. I rolled my eyes and turned to face him. “What” I replied. “Can I stay at your house tonight?” He asked playing with the grass. “what? No.” I said chuckling. I turned back around and walked home. As I was leaving the park, I looked back at him. Just sitting there talking to his fingers. Somehow I felt sorry for him. Sigh. I walked back over to him and sat next to him. “One night only.” I said standing back up and holding my hand out to help him get up. “Thanks” He replied taking it then shaking some dirt off his suit. “The boys just left without you?” I said asking him whilst walking on the side of the road with him. “Yeah they do whatever they want” he replied kicking a rock. It felt weird talking to him normally again. So I walked at a quicker pace and stayed in front of him for the whole way back.

As we arrived home around midnight, all the lights were switched off. “Where’s your mum?” Harry asked standing on the side of the door as I was searching for my keys. “She went out with some friends for the night” I replied as he would have already known what happened with my dad. “James?” He asked standing there. “I don’t know. He’s your best friend not mine.” I answered turning the light on into the hallway. “ughh this headache is killing me” Harry said crashing on my couch. I ignored him then walked up into my room. So I’ve done the first part of this assignment, the title.

I was just sitting there for 5 minutes, thinking about what happened tonight. Josh was so nice to me. The way he treats a girl is the best. I decided to call him and apologise for not going home with him. “Hello?” He said through the phone. “Hey Josh. Listen, sorry I couldn’t come home with you tonight. I was busy.” I said lying on my bed. “That’s okay. Did you enjoy tonight?” He asked. “Yeah I did thanks for coming with me” I replied smiling. “Hey Kim…I was wondering…do you want to go out with me?” he said gulping. What. Have I just been asked out? By my 2 year crush? I moved the phone away from my mouth then silently screamed. “anyone there?” He questioned. “yeah yeah I’m here. Um. Yeah it will be cool!” I replied smiling then hugging my pillow. “Cool! I’ll see you at school!” He said hanging up.

So now I have a boyfriend. I shut my laptop, once again not completing anything, and then walked downstairs to have some tea. As I was walking down I saw someone sleeping on my lounge. What the? Oh yeah. Harry. After my tea was made, I walked into the lounge room and sat on the other lounge. I didn’t want to sit next to that drunkie. I wish James just hurried up and got home so he could hang around him. “who were you talking to?” I heard a croaky voice coming from the other side of the lounge room. “None of your busin- Josh.” I said changing my answer quickly. If I wanted this assignment to work out, I needed to get to know him. “ooo who’s he?” Harry winked then laughed. “Just a friend” I smiled thinking about tonight again with Josh. Harry laughed really loudly. “Okay you’re badly drunk” I said pulling him outside to get fresh air.

“You know…this assignment” Harry said sitting on the chair in the backyard. “Stop playing with the legs on the chair.” I said moving his hands away from them. “We should…start…it…soon.” He said moving his head around crazily. “Yeah well we have but I guess you keep on being a dickhead hey?” I replied looking up in the sky. “How’s your love life?” I asked looking back over into his eyes. They were so inviting. Wait stop thinking that. “I have Claire and every weekend I go clubbing…and have drinks…and hook up with girls” He said winking at me. Ew his breath stunk. “That’s nice…” I replied pulling a disgusted face. “I’m going inside” Harry said standing up then looking around clueless. “Same.” I replied walking in.

As he was walking in, Harry tripped over the garden hose causing to fall on me and pull me down. “HARRY” I said falling to the floor followed by him on top of me. His face was right there.

“What the hell is going on?” James questioned leaning on the back door.
